The Southern Scribes is a coalition of writers who either live in or write about the American South or Southwest. Originally created in 1995 as a writer's critique group, the mission of the Southern Scribes has grown with the publishing successes of the members. While still a reading and critique group, the Southern Scribes also work to publicize, market and support the books and articles written by the members. Visit our calendar page to see where the Southern Scribes will be visiting over the summer. Join us at our booksignings. Check out our links to the individual Scribes web pages and the places we go for inspiration and help. Hope to see you soon.
